The ps command in UNIX systems displays information about active processes.
On Windows 2000, you can use pstat and pmon for similar information. PsList, which is freeware available from the Sysinternals Web site, combines much of this information so you can view processes, CPU and memory information, or thread statistics. PsList can provide either summary or detailed data.
