The Sybase IQ installation media includes all of the components you need to install your software. There are interactive and silent installations options available.
Interactive installations let you set up your software in a graphic user interface (GUI) environment. The interactive installer is wizard-driven and supports all product editions and installation types.
Silent installations let you install Sybase IQ from the command line. Silent installations are script-driven and configured to perform typical installations by default; custom installs require additional configuration. See “Silent Installations”.
Typical and custom installation types are available.Typical installations install features suitable for most production environments. Custom installs let you choose the components to install. You can select group packages, individual items, or a combination of the two.
