ST_LatSouth() method

Retrieves the southernmost latitude of a geometry.

Syntax

geometry-expression.ST_LatSouth()

DOUBLE Returns the southernmost latitude of the geometry-expression.

Example 1 – The following example returns the result 49.

SELECT ROUND( NEW ST_LineString( 'LineString( -122 49, -96 49 )', 4326 )
.ST_LatSouth(), 2 )
