Agentry Server to the back end Connection Issues

Agentry Server connectivity problems manifest as error messages when you start the Server, or as connect test failures if you used the connectivity test after installing and configuring the Server.

If errors occur, first check the events log. The events log is the primary troubleshooting tool for connectivity issues. The events log lists either the the back end-specific error code or Agentry-specific error message.

If, after installing the Agentry Server and configuring the connection with your the back end system, the connection test fails, or you received an error when starting the Agentry Server, perform the following checks:

  1. Verify that the Java classpath in agentry.ini is correct.
  2. Verify that the Windows environment PATH variable is correct.
  3. Try to connect to the the back end system from the Agentry Server machine using the the back end interface, and verify the user name and password used to connect are correct.
  4. Ensure that the Client version and the back end version numbers are correct.
