Windows or Windows Mobile Client Hangs after Upgrade

Problem: After upgrading SAP Mobile Platform, existing Windows or Windows Mobile client applications have problems connecting to SAP Mobile Server, or maintaining a connection; or can connect to but not receive any data from the server.

Explanation: This can happen if the Relay Server messaging port in the existing landscape has not been reconfigured from port 5001 to 5011, or if the messaging service is incorrectly targeting the Client Dispatcher port (such as 5001) instead of the messaging service port (such as 5011).

Solution: Check the Relay Server configuration and make sure the Relay Server Outbound Enabler points to the messaging service (default port: 5011).

If no Relay Server is in place, ensure that client connections are targeting the messaging service (default port: 5011) rather than the Client Dispatcher (default port: 5001). You can implement a port forwarding rule to fulfill this requirement.
