SAP Mobile Server Fails to Start

Problem: Starting SAP Mobile Server from Windows services or the desktop shortcut fails.

Solution:
  1. Ensure that the server license is valid and has not expired.
  2. Open Windows services to check that the services SAP Mobile Server depends on for start-up are running properly. Identify dependencies by right-clicking the service and selecting Properties.
  3. Check SMP_HOME\Servers\UnwiredServer\log\serverName-server.log for error messages indicating the nature of SAP Mobile Server start-up issues.
  4. Check SMP_HOME\Servers\UnwiredServer\log\bootstrap**.log for possible license errors.
