Database Server Failure

This section describes failures of the database server.

• Database Corrupt or Significant Data Loss
  Failure scenario: loss of transactional data due to system failure, application error, or human actions. Only the database has failed; the database server and the media are still functioning.
• Database Server Host Failure
  Failure scenario: the operating system or important hardware is broken.
