Apple iOS Versions for OData SDK

Review the supported application development environments, operating systems, and hardware, and review the tested devices.

Supported Application Development Environments

  • Xcode 5 with a minimum Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and iOS SDK 7.0. This environment requires you to import the 2.3 SP03 SAP Mobile Platform libraries, which you build using Xcode 4.5.1.
  • Xcode 4.6 with Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion) and iOS SDK 6.1
  • Xcode 4.3 with Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion), and iOS SDK 5.0

Supported Device Operating Systems

  • Apple iOS 7.0 (supported in Apple's Backward Compatibility mode)
  • Apple iOS 6.1.x
  • Apple iOS 6.0.1
  • Apple iOS 6.0
  • Apple iOS 5.1.1
  • Apple iOS 5.1
  • Apple iOS 5.0

Supported Hardware

The recommended minimum hardware configuration is:
  • iPhone 4
  • iPad 2

Tested Devices

Unless otherwise noted, all devices are supported. These devices have been tested by SAP:

  • iPhone 5 on Apple iOS 6.0
  • iPhone 4S on Apple iOS 5.1.1
  • iPad Mini on Apple iOS 6.0.1
  • iPad with Retina Display and A6X chip on Apple iOS 6.1
  • iPad with Retina Display and A6X chip on Apple iOS 6.0.1
  • iPad 2 on Apple iOS 6.0
  • iPad 2 on Apple iOS 5.1
