The administrator user IDs and passwords must be consistent between the DCDirector and its directed DirectConnect servers.
If they are inconsistent, the login information must be entered repeatedly for each server as it is accessed. While this is feasible and works well, it may become cumbersome and reduce the value of using the DCDirector. If you choose to use different user ID and password combinations across servers, you can save this information on your local machine by selecting the Permanent Connection option on the login dialog box. This may reduce the impact of using different user ID and password combinations, but it also reduces security.
