The workflow to apply an SAP® Sybase® IQ support package (SP) depends on whether you are using SAP® Control Center to manage the SAP Sybase IQ resources.
If you are not using SCC, simply stop the IQ server, install the support package, and restart the server.
However, if you have SAP Sybase IQ-managed resources, there are additional considerations, for example whether SAP Sybase IQ and SAP Control Center share the same host, or if you are migrating from 15.3 or 15.4, whether you plan to use the SCC Upgrade Database Wizard. Such considerations require additional tasks.
