Each RIM BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) must meet the requirements for operating system, hardware, and available disk space. See the RIM BES documentation for system requirements.
Devices are required to be paired with a BES and have the BlackBerry MDS transport enabled to allow connection with the Unwired Platform Runtime and to receive push notifications.
