Devices are required to be paired with a BES and have the BlackBerry MDS transport enabled to allow connection with the Unwired Platform Runtime and to receive push notifications.

Recommended minimum hardware: 256MB RAM, CPU clock speed greater than 500MHz. Some 5.0 devices do not meet these minimums.
