About Sybase Control Center for Data Assurance

Sybase® Control Center for Data Assurance (DA) is a Web-based tool for managing and monitoring the DA server environment.

Sybase Control Center for Data Assurance provides availability, historical, and real-time monitoring in a scalable Web application that is integrated with management modules for other Sybase products. It offers shared, consolidated management of heterogenous resources from any location, real-time notification of availability and performance, and intelligent tools for spotting performance and usage trends, all via a thin-client, rich Internet application delivered through your Web browser.

Sybase Control Center for Data Assurance supports data comparison from a primary database to one or more replicate databases. The product also supports task scheduling, which allows each comparison task to be run based on a schedule you have specified. It uses and deploys its own SQL Anywhere database, which stores system and configuration settings, tasks, and task history. An automatic reconciliation option identifies missing, orphaned, and inconsistent rows when you create DA jobs.

You can monitor servers and agents using the DA monitor, topology view, heat chart, and administration console. History reports for comparison tasks and statistics help you monitor data discrepancies and identify common or recurring problems.

Sybase Control Center for Data Assurance is designed to be integrated with Replication Server® to support comparison of large tables. When you use a Sybase Control Center wizard to create a DA job based on a Replication Server system database (RSSD), the wizard is populated automatically with replication definition and subscription information so you can easily create a job with an optimal configuration.
