Enabling Domain Logging

John enables and configures domain logging, so data can be captured in the domain log database. Ram reviews captured events for his domain.

John configures domain log data retention to 10 days. This allows Ram to review application activities periodically.

  1. Enable domain event logging:
    1. In the navigation pane, click Domains > ABC > Log.
    2. In the administration pane, click the Settings tab.
    3. Click New.
    4. In the Profile Definition dialog, complete the Name and Description fields with the proper value.
    5. Select the check boxes of Package related, Security related, Application connections, Connections. and Payloads.
    6. Select Enable after creation.
    7. Click OK.
  2. Change the domain log data retention configuration:
    1. In the navigation pane, select Domains, default, and Log.
    2. In the administration pane, select the Settings tab.
    3. Click Configurations.
    4. Select Enable auto-purge configuration, and set the data retention to 10 days.
    5. Click OK.
  3. Review package-level logging events:
    1. In the navigation pane, click Domains > ABC > Log.
    2. In the administration pane, click the General tab, then reviews events for DCN, Replication, Errors, and Device Notifications.
