Setting the JAVA_HOME Environment Variable

Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the Java directory.

Prerequisites

Install Java Runtime Environment version 1.6.0_26 or higher. To see if you have a suitable version of Java installed, go to http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre"&"try=1.
To download and install Java, go to http://jdl.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en"&"host=www.java.com:80.
