Creating String Rule Validation

In the String Rule Validation dialog, set the string validation rule for the edit box.

1. In the String Rule Validation dialog:

   Option	Description
   Rule Validation Type	Select the validation type.
   Value	Enter the value for the validation rule. The value is tested against the default value of the Edit Box, if it has one. If the default value does not conform to the validation rule, an error message appears in the dialog. If you select "matches regular expression" as the rule type, validate the expression by clicking Test Regular Expression.
   Error Message	Enter the error message that appears when validation fails on the client.

2. Click OK.
