Ping the data source/enterprise resource to test a connection profile.
- Open
Data Source
Enterprise Explorer.
- Expand the category for the connection profile you want to
test
- Right-click the connection profile and select
Ping.
- Choose from the
following:

| If the ping fails

Verify that the data source/enterprise resource is running and
check the connection profile properties.

Click
Details in the
Error dialog.

| If the ping succeeds

OK.
