Viewing or Modifying Spatial Unit of Measure Properties

View or change the properties of a spatial unit of measure.

Modify a spatial unit of measure comment – you must have one of:

COMMENT ANY OBJECT system privilege
CREATE ANY OBJECT system privilege
ALTER ANY OBJECT system privilege
MANAGE ANY SPATIAL OBJECT system privilege

Modify any other spatial unit of measure property – you must have one of:

MANAGE ANY SPATIAL OBJECT system privilege
ALTER ANY OBJECT system privilege

The SAP Sybase IQ resource is authenticated and running.

Task

In the Perspective Resources view, select the resource, and select Resource > Administration Console.
In the left pane, expand IQ Servers > Schema Objects > Spatial Support, and then select Units of Measure.
Select a spatial unit of measure from the right pane and either:
- Click the arrow to the right of the name and select Properties, or
- From the Administration Console menu bar, select Resource > Properties.

View or modify properties.

When you are modifying properties, you need not click Apply before changing screens; however, doing so saves any changes.
If you do not have privileges to modify properties, SAP Control Center displays the properties view in read-only mode.

Area	Description
General page	Name — Name of the selected spatial unit of measure. Unit type — Either linear or angular. Meter, metre, and planar degree are linear units of measure. Radian and degree are angular units of measure. Not editable for degree, meter, metre, planar degree, or radian. Conversion factor — The unit of measure's conversion factor to another unit of measure of the same type. Must be a double-precision floating-point value. Not editable for degree, meter, metre, planar degree, or radian Comment — A text field for adding an optional comment about the spatial unit of measure.

Name — Name of the selected spatial unit of measure.

Unit type — Either linear or angular. Meter, metre, and planar degree are linear units of measure. Radian and degree are angular units of measure. Not editable for degree, meter, metre, planar degree, or radian.

Conversion factor — The unit of measure's conversion factor to another unit of measure of the same type. Must be a double-precision floating-point value. Not editable for degree, meter, metre, planar degree, or radian

Comment — A text field for adding an optional comment about the spatial unit of measure.

Do one of:
- Click OK to update any changes to the database and exit the properties view.
- Click Apply to update any changes to the database, but remain in the properties view.
- Click Cancel to cancel any changes not updated to the database and exit the properties view.
