Converting an Authority-Based Group to a User

Change an existing group into a user.

Prerequisites
Database Version Authority-Based Group Permissions
SAP Sybase IQ 15.3 and 15.4 Requires one of:
  • DBA authority.
  • PERMS ADMIN authority.
SAP Sybase IQ 16.0 Not supported.
Task
  1. In the Perspective Resources view, select the resource and select Resource > Administration Console.
  2. In the left pane, select IQ Servers > Security > Authority Based > Groups.
  3. Select a group from the right pane and either:
    • Click the arrow to the right of the name and select Change to user, or
    • From the Administration Console menu bar, select Resource > Change to user.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the change.
