View the properties of a login policy for a simplex or multiplex.
Area | Description |

General tab | Options: Password life time – Number of days the password is valid. The user must reset their password when the lifetime expires. Password grace time – Number of days before password expiry that users receive warnings that their password is about to expire. Password expiry on next login – Whether the user must reset the password at the next login. Locked – Whether or not the user is locked out. When this option is on, login attempts result in an error message. Maximum connections – Number of times the same user can be logged in to the server. Maximum failed login attempts – Number of failed login attempts before the account is locked. Maximum days since login – Number of days allowed between logins before the account is locked. |
Logical Server Assignment tab | Assignment Type: CUSTOM – Allows access to OPEN and user-defined logical servers. DEFAULT – Inherits the logical server assignment of the root login policy. NONE – Disallows access to all logical servers. SERVER – Allows access to any multiplex node. MPX authority is required to connect. Modify logical server assignment for a login policy – Select the logical servers to add to the login policy. |
Logical Server Option Overrides tab | Modify the Logical Server level Login Policy Option Override – Specifies the value of the Max Conn. (maximum connection) parameter, which overrides the inherited value. |
