Granting Roles to a Login

Add roles to login accounts.

Prerequisites

To grant or revoke predicated privileges, set the configuration parameter enable predicate privileges to 1.

Task

In the left pane of the Administration Console, expand ASE Servers > Security > Logins.
Select the login account on which to grant roles or view currently granted roles.
From the drop-down list, select Properties.
You see the properties window for the login you selected.
In the left pane, click Roles.
In the right pane, click Add.
You see the Add Roles to Login window.
Select one or more roles.
(Optional) Click With activation predicate and enter an expression for the activation predicate.
(Optional) Select Active By Default to indicate the role must be automatically activated on login.
