Generating Create Database SQL from Dump Image

Sybase Control Center lets you generate a create database DDL script from the dump image.

  1. In the left pane of the Administration Console, expand ASE Servers > Schema Objects > Databases.
  2. Select one of:
    • User Databases
    • System Databases
    • Temporary Databases
    • Proxy Databases
    • In-Memory Databases
    • In-Memory Temporary Databases
  3. Click the Name field of the database for which you want to generate DDL from the dump image.
  4. Click the arrow and select Generate DDL from Dump Image.
  5. On the Introduction screen, select whether to restore the data or the transaction log.
  6. On the Type screen, choose to either generate the DDL, or display the dump header contents, depending on what you need to do.
  7. On the Image screen, select the dump image or enter the path of the dump image file. If unspecified, Adaptive Server uses the latest available dump image obtained from the backup history.
  8. (Optional) Click Summary to view your selected options.
  9. Select Finish, then Save to save the script.
