Restoring a Database Using a Load Sequence Script

Sybase Control Center lets you restore (load) a database using a script.

You cannot load a database backup that was created on a different operating system, or with an earlier version of Adaptive Server.

  1. In the left pane of the Administration Console, expand ASE Servers > Schema Objects > Databases.
  2. Select one of:
    • User Databases
    • System Databases
    • Archive Databases
    • In-Memory Databases
  3. Right-click the Name field of the database you want to back up.
  4. Click the arrow and select Restore.
  5. In the Restore Database wizard, choose from these options:

    To restore the database using a script, select the Restore using script option.

    Click Select script file and browse your directories to select your script file.
  6. (Optional) Click Summary to view your selected options.
  7. Click Finish to start the restore process. Sybase Control Center displays restore messages from the Adaptive Server.
