Precomputed result set – a precomputed result set improves performance in databases where queries have common sub-expressions resulting in repetitive operations on base tables. The precomputed result set feature lets you: Create a precomputed result set on any query expression and define a set of policies for maintenance. Display a precomputed result set set. Retrieve precomputed result set information, as well as the relations with other objects. Configure a precomputed result set with an immediate refresh policy as part of the same transaction that updates the base tables. Update statistics – updates include: Hash-based update statistics support which reduces elapsed time and resource usage. Adaptive Server alerts – control how certain log entries are flagged by setting an alert based on the number of flags received or the severity of the flags. Error logs – viewing server messages written to the error log has been updated. The updates include: The log viewer is available from the Monitor view. Log entries are auto-refreshed.
