Failed to Create Second Process

Problem: While trying to view a Hybrid App on the BlackBerry simulator, the operation fails and a message like Failed to Create Second Process appears.

Explanation: This may happen if you attempt to open more than one webkit for the BlackBerry simulator. The BlackBerry simulator has a known limitation of only allowing one webkit instance to run. If you have already opened the browser, then try to open a Hybrid App, you will receive an error like Failed to Create Second Process.

Solution:

  1. Close the other webkits.
  2. Reopen the Hybrid App.
