Troubleshoot Code Generation

Provides troubleshooting topics for generating device application code using the client object API.

• Code Generation Fails
  Problem: Code generation fails or takes a very long time.
• SQL_MAX_ROW_SIZE_EXCEEDED
  Problem: You encounter a SQL_MAX_ROW_SIZE_EXCEEDED error during client object API code generation. This means the validation process has detected one or more size problems in your mobile business object (MBO).
• Namespace Name Does Not Exist Error
  Problem: When generating C# code, this error appears: The type or namespace name <'name'> does not exist in the namespace 'SUP.name.com (are you missing an assembly reference?).'.
• Cannot Generate Code with Javadoc Option Enabled
  Problem: Code generation fails when trying to generate code to a file system folder named with Chinese characters with the generate javadoc option selected.
• Installing the net_rim_api.jar or android.jar File
  Depending on your Java development environment, install either the net_rim_api.jar file (BlackBerry) or the android.jar file (Android) to avoid code generation errors when generating Java code for native application development.
• Error Messages About Missing Directories When Generating Object API Code
  Problem: When the MBO developer regenerates ObjectAPI code from the Unwired WorkSpace Code Generation wizard, if Clean up destination before code generation is selected in the Configure Options page, an error similar to this appears in the Error Log view:
