User Permissions Are Not Correct

Problem: User role permissions are not correct. For example, there seems to be no distinction in permissions between a user role and the Administration role.

Explanation: This typically indicates that Sybase Unwired Platform roles have not been mapped to Sybase Control Center roles, so default Sybase Unwired Platform roles are used.

Solution: Complete role mapping as described in:
  • System Administration > Security Administration > Security Layers > User Security Setup > Security for Administration Users
  • Sybase Control Center for Sybase Unwired Platform > Configure > Configuring Sybase Control Center > Authorization > Mapping Sybase Control Center Roles to LDAP or OS Groups
