Setting General Application Properties

Provide general application properties such as the application ID, description, security configuration and domain details while registering the application.

1. In the Application Creation Wizard, enter a unique Application ID, following application ID guidelines.
2. Enter a Display name and Description for the application.
3. Select the appropriate security configuration from the Security Configuration drop-down list.
4. Select the appropriate domain from the Domain drop-down list.
5. (Optional) Assign one or more packages as desired.
6. (Optional) Modify application connection template settings, select Configure additional settings, and click Next.
   1. Select Configure additional settings, and click Next.
   2. To reuse the configuration of an existing template, select a Base template from the drop-down list.
   3. Configure the following property categories as required.
      • Apple Push Notifications
      • Application Settings
      • BlackBerry Push Notifications
      • Connection
      • Custom Settings
      • Device Advanced
      • Device Info
      • Proxy
      • Security Settings
      • User Registration

      Note: When an application ID is intended for use by Online Data Proxy, packages do not need to be assigned. See Applications.
7. Click Finish to register the application with the configured settings.
