Check the location of the system shared libraries.
The shared libraries libXt.so and libX11.so are normally stored in /usr/openwin/lib. The shared library libsocket.so is located by default in /usr/lib.
If the shared libraries on your operating system are located in in other directories, set the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH to indicate the new locations.
