Shutting Down the Cluster or the Instance

Shutting down the cluster shuts down all the instances associated with the cluster.

1. Log in to any instance. For example:

   isql –Usa –P –Sase2 –I$SYBASE/interfaces

2. Issue the shutdown command:

   shutdown cluster

• Shutting Down an Instance
  Use the shutdown command to shut down an individual instance in the cluster. You can also shut down an instance from another instance in the cluster.
