Stopping the Buffer Cache Monitor

The command you use to stop a monitor run is similar to the one you use to start it, except that you do not need to specify any options.

Use this syntax to stop the Sybase IQ buffer cache monitor:

IQ UTILITIES { MAIN | PRIVATE } 
  INTO dummy_table_name STOP MONITOR

Note:

In order for certain option settings to take effect you must restart the database. If the monitor is running you need to shut it down so that the database can be restarted.
