Replication Server is used for distributing and synchronizing operational data in a heterogeneous replication environment. Replication Server updates multiple databases so that you can access local data instead of remote, centralized databases.
Replication Server works to distribute data over a network by:
Providing a flexible publish-and-subscribe model for marking data and stored procedures to be replicated
Managing replicated transactions while retaining transaction integrity across the network
In RSHE, use Replication Server Manager™ (RSM) to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot most replication system components.
