Configuring a Relay Server for Afaria

Configure a relay server outbound enabler (RSOE) for Afaria so it starts automatically when you start the Afaria server. A relay server outbound enabler manages communication between the Afaria server and the relay server.

  1. In the Afaria Administrator, select Server Configuration > Properties > Relay Server.
  2. Enter these RSOE values:
    • Farm ID: <clusterName>.AfariaFarm
    • Token: a9b4f4d0c1592e599007ac4deb42
    • Server Address: <Afaria server host name>
    • Server Port: 4041 (default)
    • RS Address: <relay server host name>
    • RS Port: [ 80 (HTTP) | 443 (HTTPS) ]
    • RS URL Suffix: /ias_relay_server/server/rs_server.dll (Windows) or /srv/iarelayserver/ (Linux)
    • Max Restarts: 5
    • Client URL Prefix: /ias_relay_server/server/rs_server.dll (Windows) or /cli/iarelayserver/ (Linux)
    • Use HTTPS: select this option
    • Trusted Certificate: <path to certificate file>
  3. Select Start automatically with Afaria.
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Configure the relay server for production. See the online documentation for Sybase Control Center > Configure > Unwired Platform > Configuring Unwired Server > Configuring Unwired Server for a Production Environment > Configuring Unwired Server for a High Availability Environment > Employing a Relay Server > Configuring a Relay Server for Production.
  6. Restart the Afaria server.
