Installer error when Sybase Unwired Platform is installed where Adaptive Server Enterprise 15 is already installed.
If Sybase Unwired Platform 1.2 is installed onto a system where Adaptive Server Enterprise 15 is already installed, the UAF component on the system is upgraded to UAF 2.6. In addition, if Sybase Unwired Platform 1.2 is uninstalled, then UAF 2.6 is also uninstalled, leaving Adaptive Server Enterprise 15 with no UAF component on the system. Workaround: Install Sybase Unwired Platform 1.2 and Adaptive Server Enterprise 15 on separate systems. If you must install both on one system, manually manage the UAF components for each independently. |

UAF services fail to launch if RepServer is already installed.
If Sybase Unwired Platform is installed onto a system where the Sybase Unified Agent service
has already been created, the Sybase Unified Agent service can be auto-started, but cannot be stopped correctly. The following error message appears when attempting to stop the service:
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Workaround: Manually start and stop the Sybase Unified Agent for Sybase Unwired Platform. To start the Sybase Unified Agent for Sybase Unwired Platform, first stop the existing Sybase Unified Agent service. Then, from C:\Sybase\UAF-2_6\bin, run uafstartup.bat. To stop the Sybase Unified Agent for Sybase Unwired Platform, from C:\Sybase\UAF-2_6\bin, run uafshutdown.bat. |

Clicking installer's Close button may cause installer to hang.
In some cases, when the installer is running slowly, exiting the installer by clicking Close (upper right corner of window) may cause the installer to hang. Workaround: If it is necessary to cancel the installation before installation is complete, click Cancel within the installer application window. The installer will respond to the Cancel when it completes its current task. |

Database server fails to start when Unwired Server is installed on VMWare if VMWare name is duplicated on the network.
If Unwired Server is installed on vmware and the VMWare name is duplicated somewhere else on the network, the Unwired Server database server fails to start. Workaround: Ensure that the VMWare name is unique on the network where Unwired Server is installed. |
