This topic lists known issues for Sybase Control Center.

566501 Updating push notification values in Sybase Control Center does not change behavior after new settings are saved.

If you use the Push tab in the Server Configuration node of Sybase Control Center for Unwired Server to change properties for push notifications, the server behavior does not change immediately after the new settings are saved.

Workaround: These property changes require that you restart Unwired Server. The changes are implemented when the server starts with the new values.

565254 Online help links from the Welcome page for Sybase Control Center do not work.

The Welcome page of Sybase Control Center contains links to "Get Started," "Administer," and "Troubleshoot" topics in the online help. However, clicking any of these links displays a "Topic Not Found" message.

Workaround: Bypass the Welcome page links and access online help from the Sybase Control Center main page:


  1. In the Contents pane, click Sybase Control Center.
  2. Click the topic that corresponds to the information you seek. The online help now contains the following topic groupings: "Basics," "Configure," "Administer," and "Troubleshoot."
557968 Starting Sybase Control Center fails to display the interface correctly.

If you start Sybase Control Center and do not have Adobe Flash Player installed, an error typically appears that notifies you of this prerequisite and gives a URL that allows you to download the installer. However, sometimes this message does not appear.

Workaround: If Sybase Control Center appears not to display correctly and you do not receive any errors, check to see if you have Adobe Flash Player installed. If not, download the player from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and try starting Sybase Control Center again.

554015 UAF Agent ports cannot be changed in Sybase Control Center.

The default port numbers on which the UAF Agent listens for requests are 8282 (HTTP) and 8283 (HTTPS). You cannot use Sybase Control Center to change these port numbers.

Workaround: Change the port numbers during installation of Sybase Unwired Platform, or, after installation:


  1. Stop the Sybase Unified Agent service.
  2. Edit service-config.xml, located in C:\Sybase\UAF-2_6\services\EmbeddedWebContainer.
  3. Restart the Sybase Unified Agent service.
