DBA permissions are not required to set this option. Can be set temporary for an individual connection or for the PUBLIC group. Takes effect immediately.
Sybase IQ tracks the number of open cursors and allocates memory accordingly. In certain circumstances, you can use this option to adjust the minimum number of current cursors that Sybase IQ thinks is currently using the product, and allocate memory from the temporary cache more sparingly.
