Warm Standby Wizards

Replication Manager 15.0 introduces three wizards to add logical connections, active database connections, and standby database connections.

Previously, these steps were only part of the Configure Replication Environment wizard, which lets you build a warm standby environment in one step. With this version of Replication Manager, you can use a separate wizard for each step in the process, which lets you drop and re-create connections as needed.

• Creating a Logical Connection
  Use the the Add Logical Connection wizard to add a logical connection. You can use the wizard whether or not you are basing the logical connection on an existing physical connection.
• Creating an Active Database Connection
  Use the Add Active Database wizard to add an active database connection to an existing logical connection.
• Creating a Standby Database Connection
  Use the Add Standby Database wizard to add a standby database to an existing logical connection that already has an active database connection.
