Using the Add Active Database wizard, you can add an active database connection to an existing logical connection.
Creating an active database connection
In the Details view, right-click the logical connection object you created using the Add Logical Connection wizard.
Select Add Active Database. The Add Active Database wizard starts.
Select the active server and active database.
Select the Replication Server that will manage the database connections.
Enter the user name and password of the maintenance user.
Select the user name and password that the RepAgent will use to connect to Replication Server.
If the RepAgent user does not exist, the wizard creates one for you and gives it a default name and password. Accept the defaults, or enter your own values.
Select the Enable all objects in the active database check box to enable database objects.
Review the summary information about the replication environment.
If everything looks correct, click Finish. Otherwise, click Back to return to an earlier page in the wizard and change the replication environment information. Then return to the final wizard page and click Finish.
Replication Manager creates the active database connection.
