Restrictions

You cannot use the no datacopy parameter on:

• Materialized or virtual computed columns

• Encrypted columns

• XML columns

• IDENTITY columns

• Java columns

• Proxy tables

• Columns using these datatypes:

  • timestamp

  • bit

• You cannot change the locking scheme of a table:

  • That has been affected by a no datacopy operation

  • For which you have not yet executed a reorg rebuild or datacopy operation since the last drop column with no datacopy

  You must run reorg rebuild before changing the locking scheme of a table.
