Replication Agent 15.5 supports DML replication on Oracle index-organized tables (IOTs), which is a unique storage organization feature that provides added value in performance, scalability, and availability over conventional tables. Unlike an ordinary (heap-organized) table in which data is stored as an unordered collection (heap), data for an index-organized table is stored in a B-tree index structure in a primary key sorted manner. In Replication Agent, DML is supported on:
Simple IOTs
IOTs with including and overflow clause
IOTs with composite partition
IOTs with mapping table
Index-compressed IOTs
IOTs with row dependency
IOTs with LOB
IOTs with secondary index
IOTs with nested tables and varray columns cannot be replicated.
