To improve Replication Agent performance when reading a transaction log that is on a raw device, these new configuration properties have been added:
log_read_block_count – determines the number of blocks or pages that are read from the log for each read cycle. (For Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)
archive_log_read_block_count – determines the number of blocks that are read from an Oracle archive log for each read cycle. (For Oracle only)
auto_adjust_block_count – determines whether the Replication Agent automatically adjusts the block count if any part of a read is discarded. (For Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)
