Before you open a support call, or when you identify candidates for new boundaries:
Change to the Sybase installation directory—$SYBASE or %SYBASE%.
Set the Sybase environment variables by sourcing SYBASE.csh or executing SYBASE.bat.
Change to the $SYBASE_UA/bin or %SYBASE_UA%\bin directory.
Execute uafstartup.sh or uafstartup.bat, or add the parameter /background to run the Unified Agent in the background.
To stop Unified Agent:
Change to the Sybase installation directory—$SYBASE or %SYBASE%.
Set the Sybase environment variables by sourcing SYBASE.csh or executing SYBASE.bat.
Execute shutdown or uafshutdown.bat.
