Installation Workflows

This topic shows the workflow for installing Sybase® WorkSpace.

Separate installers are used for Sybase WorkSpace and the Sybase Developer Edition servers.

The tasks in this workflow are for Sybase WorkSpace. For information on installation tasks for the Sybase Developer Edition servers, see the Installation Guide for Sybase Developer Edition Servers.

To install Sybase WorkSpace, follow this basic workflow:
  1. Review installation requirements.
  2. Identify installation components.
  3. Obtain a license.
  4. Install Sybase WorkSpace.
  5. (Optional) Install optional PowerDesigner components.
  6. (Optional) Install any Sybase Developer Edition Servers you want to use with your WorkSpace installation.
  7. Review the installation.
  8. (Optional) Install samples and tutorials.
