Use the Network tab to specify network options.
Specifying network information
If you are using same-computer communications, select Shared Memory protocol.
If you are connecting to a server on another computer, select TCP/IP protocol:
Host – specify the computer name on which the database server is running.
Click Ping to test that a computer with the given host name can be found on your network.
Ports – specify the port the database server is using.
Other – specify any other network protocol options. Click Edit to open the TCP Properties window.
Select one of these security options: none, simple, or tls.
Click OK if you are ready to connect, or click the Advanced tab to specify any advanced connection options.
