The Connect Assistant is a wizard that helps you connect to a database.
The Connect window has a Connect Assistant to help you connect to a database. To display or hide the Connect Assistant, click the arrow in the top right corner of the window.
To run the Connect Assistant, click the Next button in the Connect Assistant area of the Connect window and follow the on-screen prompts.
If you are connecting using an ODBC source, do not use
the Connect Assistant. Close the Connect Assistant and click the
Identification tab. See “Supplying connection parameters: Identification tab”.
