The data movement model is a very flexible tool, which allows you quickly to develop your model without constraints. You can check the validity of your DMM at any time.
A valid DMM conforms to the following kinds of rules:
Each object name in a DMM must be unique within its namespace
Each replication process must be linked to at least one process using a process connection or to at least one database or XML document using a data connection
You can check your model in any of the following ways:
The Check Model Parameters dialog opens, allowing you to specify the kinds of checks to perform, and the objects to apply them to. The following sections document the DMM -specific checks available by default.
