Scrollable cursors can now move forward and backward within the rowset. Also, Sybase now supports negative values. When a user scrolls backward and forward, the back end provides the corresponding data.
The ASE OLE DB Provider supports the Static Insensitive scrollable cursor. It implements the IRowset::GetNextRows() method, which is a standard method defined in Microsoft Open Database Connectivity Software Development Kit Programmer’s Reference Volume 2, that is part of the MSDN library. The OLE DB Data Provider supports the following scrolling types:
Next – return the next row.
Prior – return the prior row.
Relative n rows – return the row, n rows from the current rowset.
