Event Properties window: General tab

This tab has the following components:

Name   Shows the name of the event.

Type   Shows the type of object.

Creator   Shows the database user who created and owns the event.

Enabled   Select this option to execute the event when the scheduled time or trigger condition occurs.

You must enable the event to trigger it manually from Sybase Central.

Location   Shows which of the following locations the event executes at:

  • All databases   Executes the event at all remote locations.

  • Consolidated database   For databases involved in SQL Remote replication, this executes the event at the consolidated database only, and not at any of the remote locations.

  • Remote database   For databases involved in SQL Remote replication, this executes the event at a remote database only, and not at the consolidated database.

Next scheduled time   Shows the date and time of the next scheduled event, if the event is scheduled.

Comment   Provides a place for you to type a text description of the event. For example, you could use this area to describe the event's purpose in the system. Later, if you use the Database Documentation Generator to document your SQL Anywhere database, you can include these comments in the output. See Documenting a database.
