What's new in this release?

FIPS 140-2 compliant SSL library support   M-Business Anywhere now provides an SSL library that is FIPS 140-2 compliant. This library automatically secures the synchronization process between M-Business Client and M-Business Server, whenever the following conditions are met:

  • M-Business Server is running on a Windows, Linux or Solaris.

  • M-Business Client is running on a Microsoft OS device, a Palm OS device, or a Windows desktop.

  • The user is synchronizing securely.

M-Business Server database manager upgraded   Adaptive Server® Anywhere version 8.0.2 has been upgraded to version 10.0.1 for enhanced functionality.

Adaptive Server Anywhere has been rebranded as SQL Anywhere®.

Administrator Console UI server upgraded   The Tomcat Server that manages the M-Business Server Administrator Console UI has been upgraded from version 4.2 to 6.0 to provide enhanced functionality.

Enhanced server monitoring   M-Business Server now provides a command line utility that allows an administrator to quickly check the status of all four servers that support M-Business Anywhere.

Improved PODS version compatibility   Lets PODS currently installed on M-Business Client continue to work when M-Business Server is upgraded, simplifying the upgrade process.

Remote client auto-upgrade   M-Business Client software running on all platforms except Symbian OS may now be upgraded automatically. Users synchronizing through a cradle must initiate the synchronization through the M-Business Client menus, but no other special user steps are required.

Internal style sheets   M-Business Client now supports page-level style sheets, in addition to inline styles. External style sheets (.css files) are not currently supported.
