To simplify instructions that apply to both Windows and UNIX platforms, file paths in this guide are listed with directory levels separated by forward slashes (/). Forward slashes in file paths are supported by current versions of Windows, although this convention originated with UNIX systems. The only exception to this convention is in Windows installer instructions.
